Is managing projects a key part of your job? But are you having trouble completing projects on time and on budget? You’re in good company. The projects nonprofits are required to execute are growing in complexity and the external environment is constantly changing. But perhaps the most important factor relating to project-management success is gaining sufficient buy-in from key stakeholders. During this course, you will not only learn the ´hard’ skills of project management, such as defining outputs and outcomes, establishing a timeline, and formulating a project plan. You will learn many of the ´softer’ skills, such as how to ´sell’ your plans to others; how to deal with diverse expectations of stakeholders; and how to manage project teams made up of members from different departments or teams (matrix management).
